Developed and engineered by BOLD! Technologies, the Pockitapp is a simple yet revolutionary new mobile fintech app that lets consumers immediately convert the change back from cash transactions and send it to their phone.
No more coins to carry, count or collect!
Imagine you’re a college student with a great idea. You just bought some beer, paid with cash, you’re carrying you phone and not much else, so when the clerk hands you back a fistful of change, you have nowhere to put it. If only there was an app that let you send that cash change directly to your phone. And now there is!
Based on the idea presented by that student, co-founder of Pockit, Inc., BOLD! Technologies, developed and engineered Pockitapp™, a simple yet revolutionary new mobile fintech app that lets consumers immediately convert the change back from cash transactions and send it to their phone.
Consumers apply their collected change towards checking, savings, gift cards or charity. Because the funds are transferred to their financial institution, BOLD! needed a trusted partner in the digital payments arena. After thorough vetting, we partnered with Dwolla, a secure online payment system and mobile payment network which enables ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfers, facilitating the easy transfer of cash change to a customer’s mobile wallet.
This process provides clear proof of performance of BOLD! Technologies agility and flexibility. Not only did the application have to be built to operate as a standalone service at checkout, on both Android & iOS tablet based technology, but was also built to be custom integrated into any one of the new and legacy point-of-sale (POS) technologies proliferating today.
Voila! No more coins to carry, count or collect. Recognizing its engagement, value and convenience, big names in POS (point-of-sale), especially those in the cash-heavy quick service marketplace, are integrating Pockitapp into their systems. Significant synergy between client, product development and marketing positioned Pockitapp for national and eventually international deployment.
